Glass Study Group - December 11, 2003
December's
Glass Study group was well attended with 16 in attendance. A full table of Holiday
baked goods and treats were also brought and shared by the participants. It was
an evening of fellowship, glass education and fun. The theme was red, green or
glass received as gifts. The photo, as usual only depicts a small sample of the
glass that filled the tables.
Left to right is a prize New England Glass agate vase, an
unknown cut, satinized and enamel decorated blue atomizer for cologne, a green
cut to clear vase by Dorfling Glass of Whit Mills, PA; a Steven & Williams
English cut, cased glass vase in a wonderful design by Frederick Carder; Tow two
part Fenton Santa fairy or candle lights in green and red; one red and one green
Viking Glass Christmas tree, a bright red four part stacking Christmas tree candy
by an unknown manufacturer, a Morgantown Guild twist pattern juice in red, a US
Glass Delaware pattern two handled trophy form vase in green, Fenton's mandarin
red cornucopia candle holder; a Viking County Craft pattern sugar in ruby, a New
Martinsville Glass Moondrops pattern handled beer mug, a Heisey twist bon bon
with floral cutting, an unknown crystal Christmas tree, A Fostoria Heirloom orange
bon bon, and the corner of a Cambridge Candlelight center handled server.
