Mars, Venus & Sarah Maenle

While we feature many dogs in this very popular space for “Replacements Featured Pet (and Pet Owner!)," in the interest of egalitarian newsletter coverage, this month we feature two fun and beautiful kittens in “Mars” and “Venus,” both owned by Sarah Maenle, a supervisor on our showroom staff.  How Sarah brought mischievous felines into her family is truly touching. In June of 2006, Sarah brought another cat, “Tux,” into her life.  Unfortunately, she had him for less than one year. Tux passed away with feline leukemia this past January.   Sarah’s heart was broken. Even though she had him for a relatively short period of time, she had grown very close to Tux, and missed him terribly. Sarah’s friends often commented that she should get another cat but Sarah just wasn’t ready.

In October of this year, Sarah drove by The Cat Clinic where a sign was posted that read “Adopt a Kitten.” Although the clinic was closed, her interest was piqued and she decided to look in the window.   Her eye was immediately drawn to two exceptional kittens with tuxedo coats. When Sarah returned later and asked about them, she found out they were brother and sister, having been born a couple of months earlier. Sarah decided to take both of them home. She enjoyed watching them play together and decided to name them “Mars” and “Venus.”  Mars is pictured on the left and Venus is pictured on the right.

Sarah says that Mars and Venus are joyful additions to her life. When asked what she liked most about the Replacements Ltd. pet-friendly policy, Sarah had this to say, “I love the fact that we can bring our pets to work. Many of our customers walk into our showroom expecting to see dogs running about and are surprised when they see cats too.  Regardless of whether they know of our pet-friendly policy or not, our customers are always delighted when they come into our showroom and see a lovable cat or dog.”  We couldn’t agree more!
